Mailbag: Prophetic Prompts

November 12, 2019 by sd

Waterspout in TampaQuite a movement on the prophetic front, winds swirling, fire and cold, the pulse beating in most noticeable fashion. We have been fairly deluged with requests for the new book we’re carrying (The Warning: Testimonies and Prophecies of the Illumination of Conscience), as well as the latest special report (“A Time of Calamity Is Coming”; it is through our store and the monthly “reports” that we keep the lights on and have been able, during the past nineteen years, to offer thousands of original free articles. Thank you for your support!).

Fire here. Cold there.

So much is whirling and swirling in society, in our culture, in politics, in the Church, and anywhere else the eye roams that one struggles to keep up with it. Has a corner been turned?

It is a time of intensification.

And folks are picking up “prophetic prompts” of their own. We remain open to them; we continue to reach into the mailbag.

“I just wanted to share this with you,” writes a viewer named Harry Frett. “My wife and I went to the 7 p.m. Mass at our church for All Saints Day. During the Mass, as I looked at the tabernacle, I saw a vision on the tabernacle door, the Face of God the Father and Jesus beneath Him. The Blessed Mother was also facing Jesus. Not knowing what this meant, I continued praying the prayers at Mass until I received words which were an explanation of this vision. The words that I received were: ‘Begging for time.’ I then understood that the Blessed Mother was begging Jesus for more time. As you well know, we are in a period of God’s Mercy which has already been extended numerous times at the request of the Blessed Mother, and now Our Lady is begging Our Lord to extend this period of mercy even longer.”

Wrote Andre Renaud of New Liskeard, Ontario: “On September 29, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. till about 6:30 p.m., myself, my wife and a Scottish lady living in Great Britain witnessed the Miracle of the Sun from the patio of a guest house in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina. I’m 72 years old and have no degree in philosophy, psychology, theology or any other sciences. But I have never seen anything like this in my life. The Scottish lady told me to look at the sun, which was still high in the sky at about 6:00 p.m., with just a few light clouds scattered around. I have glaucoma, and looking at the sun could damage the optic nerves.

“Curious, I looked, but the sun that I saw was a bright red orange ball, not the bright white glare that you see at any other time. Just below the center was a big black dot that slowly moved to the bottom of the globe and started swinging back and forth like a pendulum.”
+
(That sound of our times: tick-tock.)
+
“The dot then vanished after a minute or two and small bands of different colored lights started shimmering from the outside of the red orange ball,” wrote Andre. “This went on for about ten minutes. Then waves or ripples started moving outwards of the bands of shimmering coloured bands like when you throw a rock in the water. I asked the Scottish lady and my wife if they were seeing the same thing as me and they said yes.”

When I got back I pointed the viewfinder at the red orange ball, but all I could see was the bright white glare of the sun. The camera could not capture the scene that I was seeing with my eyes. When I got back to Canada I told my story to two different Catholic priests but they made very few comments about this event. Why did this happened to us? I don’t know. I believe now that God is real and the Blessed Mother is appearing to the visionaries in Medjugorje and God can change the natural laws.”
+
That’s for certain. Also for certain: the need always to step back and discern.
+
Yet does not the Bible (Romans 14) say, “For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to lead the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders” [our italics]?
+
It is a time of signs and incipient change, change that in the long-term will be good; there are birth pangs. There is no need for fear. As a word of knowledge we once reported put it, “In this time, expect the error of premature expectation, but not [error in] the truth of the expectation itself. For these times, you have the Rosary, and even more so, praise. In union with God comes all protection, as the dark spirits are now allowed to materialize in full due to the pretense and aspirations of man. Not until the initial event will the curtain be drawn that reveals the entirety of the plan, and even then, it will be parted only slowly, in the woes of purification.”   +

Image result for northridge quakeWrote another viewer, Olivia Brady, “Regarding [the new “special report”] and Sondra Abrahams, who said, ‘It’s coming. It’s coming,’ that reminds me of a vision and a message I experienced the Sunday, after the Northridge earthquake of January 17, 1994. The vision was of many people in great distress and sorrow. They seemed Hispanic and in Los Angeles.
+
“The message was very strong: Something much larger than… much greater than… on a much larger scale than the Northridge earthquake is coming!”

About the October 6 Message to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa of Akita
Of course, again, one must be very cautious not to jump the gun. At the same time, it is interesting that, in her first message in thirty years, Sister Agnes Sasagawa of Akita, Japan, whose locutions were confirmed by a weeping, Church-authenticated statue, was told on October 6 to “put on ashes and pray a repentant Rosary every day,” reminding us of Jonah’s warnings.

Adds Mary Ellen DeBord of Peoria, Illinois,  about the new “report” and its mention of alleged prophecies from Garabandal, Spain, which allude to an event that will come after an important Church event and also coincide with the feast day of a martyr of the Eucharist, “1.  Easter and Passover coincide on April 4, 2021. 2.  April 4, 2021 is the feast of St. Isidore of Seville. He was part of the Synods of the early Church and argued against the Aryan view of Christ. His view prevailed that the nature of Image result for St. Isidore of SevilleChrist, the second person of the Trinity, was both God and man (Divine). He explained much of the knowledge of the Church in various writings. He recognized the need for the Jewish presence because of their roll in the Second Coming of Christ. He also contemplated the mystery of the Holy Eucharist. 3. He too was from Spain.
+
“Could April 4, 2021, Easter, Passover and the feast of St. Isidore of Seville, be the date of the Garabandal Miracle that will come after the warning? The Warning is to come first and the Warning and the Miracle will be within a year of each other; therefore, the Warning may come after April 4, 2020.”+
+
She adds, “It seems quite possible that the Martyred Saint’s feast day, the same as the Garabandal Miracle, could be St. John Paul II, April 2nd. I know this is not the date of Holy Thursday in 2021; however, counting days could make April 2nd in some parts of the world be April 1st in other parts of the world. They tried to make him a martyr. He wrote the Encyclical Letter, Ecclesia De Eucharistic stating the Eucharist is the heart of the mystery of the Church…. I think the Warning could start in the night on 4/1/21 around midnight and cross over into 4/2/21.”
+
Image result for Pope Urban VIII, Garabandal remains in the realm of discernment (local bishops have at times rejected it). But so involved with this prophecy was Mother Angelica that she told us she had arranged for her cameras to be there on the Spanish mountainside if and when it occurs (one wonders, in our theologically-driven time, if such plans remain in effect).
+
Interesting are the times — in every age — but one can be excused for feeling that this era, with all the breakneck change, and bizarre cultural trends, has a different ring about it. Of course, we are careful about dates and must point out that nearly every year are predictions that putative prophecy will materialize the following spring. So far, of course, in the case of Garabandal, it has not.
+
Oh, but, yes, we still lend an ear, with caveats, and have no plans to do otherwise. Call us “fools for Christ.” We also appreciate the need for careful discernment. Accepting everything can be as counterproductive as accepting nothing, though Pope Urban VIII once reportedly said, “In cases which concern private revelations, it is better to believe than not to believe, for, if you believe, and it is proven true, you will be happy that you have believed, because our Holy Mother asked it. If you believe, and it should be proven false, you will receive all blessings as if it had been true, because you believed it to be true”(Pope Urban VIII, 1623-44).
