Many are the wonders of God that reside, we’re reminded, in a new book, Deep Mysteries of the Blood. Life is in the blood; the power of God lives there.
The Bible tells us as much — that it is one of His wonders.
In fact, it takes its place, as a wonder, alongside those of fire, smoke, sun, and the moon in Scripture.
Powerful! And this is the month for it.
This month, there is even more power invoking it, available to us during the Consecration, when the chalice is raised: powerful moments to revere and invoke the Precious Blood of Christ.
For like few other things, it breaks the power of darkness. It plows away the debris in our inner lives, when we let it wash unto, into, and through us. When we cover our lives, our families, our homes, our missions, our necessities, our friends with it.
“Life resides in the blood,” notes Christian authors Ebenezer and Abigail Gabriels. “A human is a soul and a spirit living in a body. There is also the component of blood that makes us human. The Scripture says the life of the animal is in the blood.”
And life indeed we have — more abundantly (meaning, better, not necessarily wealthier) — when we join His Blood with ours.
And evil?
What a weapon this is against that.
The authors, who offer extensive prayers invoking the Blood, point out that it breaks even the hold of possession and witchcraft.
Why is it especially powerful against ritualists?
It reverses their use of blood, for as a witch once confessed to the authors, who minister, and explained “the hidden mysteries in plain sight and how the enemy transacts using people’s blood. She said blood is the only currency for making payments to the devil. She said she had the spiritual powers to transfer demons of rage and violence into people. She did this in schools, and when she did that, students who were under her spell would break out into a fight. The fight will get worse, until blood is spilled. Once the blood is spilled, her blood sacrifice is completed.”
This is why, she said, Satan particularly likes crime and war.
But we counter that, we “reverse the curse,” we completely defeat that blood sacrifice with the Blood sacrifice of Jesus.
Invoke it! Plead the Blood! Plead His Name!
No better month to do so.
