First know that Vallée is one of the most prominent and influential UFO researchers.Vallée is an internet pioneer, computer scientist, venture capitalist, author, and astronomer currently residing in San Francisco, California, and Paris, France.
Not bad credentials.
His scientific career began as a professional astronomer at the Paris Observatory. Vallée co-developed the first computerized map of Mars for NASA in 1963. He later worked on the network information center for the ARPANET, a precursor to the modern internet.
But what he’s most well-known for is his sober investigations of what are now called unidentified anomalous (or airborne) phenomena (“UAPs”).
In this regard has Dr. Vallée offered very interesting observations—including his view that they are mainly metadimensional or spiritual phenomena and a potential link to the antichrist.
In books like “Passport to Magonia” and “Messengers of Deception,” Vallée suggests that UFOs are not extraterrestrial in origin, but are more likely interdimensional or part of a spiritual or psychological control system, noting the parallels between UFO encounters and folklore, such as medieval accounts of fairies, angels, or demons—what he calls “a modern myth of things seen in the sky.”
He believes non-human intelligences are manipulating human belief systems, potentially preparing the world for a major ideological transformation (or better said, deception).
“I propose,” he wrote in Messengers of Deception, “the hypothesis that there is a control system for human consciousness… and that UFOs are part of that mechanism.”
That was back in 1979.
And he doesn’t seem to have budged from that viewpoint.
While Vallée does not directly refer to the antichrist, his concept of “messengers of deception” aligns well with Christian warnings about great deceptions in the end times (Matthew 24:24, 2 Thessalonians 2:9–12, Revelation 13).
Put it this way: it may be that the alien narrative is being used to undermine biblical revelation and replace it with a new religion of “cosmic brotherhood,” effectively preparing people to accept the antichrist.
A few key Vallée quotes this context:
“The ‘occupants’ of UFOs… are not consistent with a scientific exploration of our planet. Instead, they are deliberately trying to change our belief systems… and their behavior fits the pattern of deception.” — Messengers of Deception
“Contact with non-human intelligences seems to be designed to provoke powerful spiritual transformation, often of a disorienting or destructive nature.”
The astronomer is critical of both scientific materialists and New Age believers, warning that UFOs are real, powerful, and deceptive—but not to be trusted as either angels or advanced aliens.
“They almost see it as like a spiritual worldview which is evil.”
