Intuition is an interesting aspect of human cerebration. Does it have a spiritual component?

For certain.

But how accurate is it?

Here we have to be far more qualified. God does not answer like a chat box. One listens for Him in deep prayer and meditation. When we force an “answer,” it likely is our own thinking. If we expect Him to answer directly on cue, it’s not the way He works. When contemplating an issue, we should have a calm mind and perhaps, among other prayers, be repeating at length, “Praise You God, praise You God, praise You Jesus.” Over and over.

Only the deepest “you” really can discern; to get there we must have faith, balance, and peace.

He answers in many indirect ways.

Sometimes it’s remarkable, intuition. Sometimes, it’s way off. Sometimes it’s solely the subconscious. Sometimes it’s the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes it’s a negative spirit.

Demons love mental and emotional games; the mind is the battlefield.

Intuition is an immediate sense or understanding of something without consciously reasoning it out step by step—a “gut feeling,” inner impression, or sudden knowing. Call it also insight, inklings, foreboding, apprehension, premonition, the inner compass, visceral reaction.

It can arise as stated from several sources: besides subconscious recognition of patterns from past experiences, emotional or bodily signals, personality quirks, rapid perception of subtle cues, or—in a religious context—what someone may interpret as discernment or spiritual “prompts.”

Be ye cautious, however, that it isn’t driven by errant expectation, misimpressions, or even paranoia.

Depending on context, good synonyms include instinct, hunches, an inner sense, presentiment, or discernment.

God speaks to us inwardly, in that still small Voice (1 Kings 19:12). Always pay attention to gut feelings. Inner whisperings.

But also be (very) cautious about going to the bank with them.
