Heading into the new year, there is prophecy.
Put italics on that good old tried and true (and of necessity, overused) adjective: alleged.
Still and all, we don’t despise and never have despised prophecy or seers.
Also, we don’t ingest them lock, stock, and barrel.
Be cautious about holding any apparition, seer, or locutionist near and dear to the point where it starts to resemble a cult.
That said, there is or was, as an example, a Catholic “prophet” who called himself “Enoch.” Hailing from Colombia, the verbs relating to him are in past tense because, sadly, he passed away two months ago (prayer need). But not before issuing this:
“ALERT! Two Big Events Are About to happen That Will mark The beginning of Everything.” It is also labeled “Call of Mary the Mystical Rose to all of mankind.”
“My little children, may the peace of my Lord be with all of you and my eternal protection always be with all of you,” it purports Mary as saying. “Two great events that will mark the destiny for mankind are about to begin.
“The fall of the world economy is being felt and with it, the mark of the beast. The schism is the other event that is about to happen which will mark the destiny of my Son’s Church. The rebellion of some cardinals will divide the Church, moving the foundations but never collapsing them. Support the Pope. The economy of the nations will weaken due to global instability that has been planned by the elite to destabilize the markets and to bring about the era of the microchip.
“The attack upon and death of one of the leaders of this world will be the trigger that will cause the world economy to fall definitively. Humanity will be stunned at this event; the world will be convulsed and the Illuminati will take advantage of this ominous event to cause the collapse of the economy and start the mandatory use of the microchip.”
This was his website.
And while major events, in our opinion, certainly loom in the future, overly drastic predictions, with unusual specificity, often warrant, let us say, heightened scrutiny.
The data on humans culled from microchips (implanted in the hand or forehead, says this “prophet”), will be kept in the computer called “Big Brother.”
(Does that sound a bit too Hollywood?)
So go locutions, often in conflict, often interesting. While at seeming odds with those who have claimed the coronavirus is the event that brings about microchip control, Enoch’s prediction has failure of the World Bank as a prelude to any such control via microchip (or vaccine). His website asserts that he has the support of his bishop, but we have no idea who that is, nor what was officially sanctioned, nor virtually anything about “Enoch,” including his real name (though we report on him here because he is in relatively wide circulation).
No question that — whatever the truth of histrionic verbiage — there are major trends afoot in the world, including ones that are turning money totally electronic and under computerized control. Cash is going out. Debit cards have largely taken its place. Now there are “bitcoins” — pure cyber money.
If nothing else, this opens not just the potential for control, but also vulnerability to an event we wouldn’t be surprised occurs: a massive, unprecedented blackout. (See the story later this week.)
But “three days darkness”?
We’ll get to that in a minute.
Most recent “prophets” are increasingly focused on the so-called “warning” foreseen, allegedly, at the Spanish site of Garabandal way back in the 1960s as a world-stopping event. That we’ll perhaps take up (in more depth), in a future “special report” or online retreat. There is not the room here.
A blackout is one thing. The frequently predicted “three days darkness” that started with French nuns in the aftermath of the French Revolution during the late 1700 and through the 1800s is another discussion entirely, raised recently by another alleged seer, Christina Gallagher of Ireland, who claims to have been told, on December 13, “During the days of utter darkness, when days become night, draw down the blinds, do not attempt to look out and do not open your door for the evil spirits will imitate screams of your living and deceased family members- otherwise death will enter and all therein will die. Only pray. The only prayer to be said at that time is the Rosary. It should be constantly recited before the three-dimensional picture of My Mother with the Roses. I desire people to have a blessed pure wax candle lighting before the picture. The Blessed Sacrament over My Mother’s Heart in that picture will remain illuminated for all.”
Christina, whom we met in 1991, and whose messages have a somewhat different sound and orientation than the original ones, complains that she has been falsely reported as having claimed the vaccine is a microchip. “Despite the clarity of the DISCLAIMER beneath, it was repeated falsely today (August 17th) on RTE’s ‘Liveline’ programme, that Christina Gallagher’s website says that ‘those who take the anti-covid vaccine will go to hell’ — that it is ‘the mark of the beast,'” protested her web page quite archly a short while back. “No such thing has EVER been said by Christina nor do such remarks appear on her website.” (That puts her somewhat at odds with Enoch).
The Irish says she was also told (by Jesus), “Of all the messengers I have called, you, My little one are most hated by Lucifer. The wind you are permitted to hear so often when all is calm outside, is the fury of the devil’s legions from hell. He continues to afflict you but I stand between you and the deceiver.” Remarks personal to seers at such a level are unusual. It is up for all to discern. (There are statements pertaining to her from her bishop here, for further discernment.)
Interesting? Yes.
Different?
Most controversial has been a Canadian priest, a Father Michel Rodrigue, who said last March, quoting the Archangel Gabriel, “Hear my words well. The cup of iniquity is overflowing, and soon a time will come for the Church when the persecution of the righteous will take place. It is by the Will of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit that this year 2021 has been proclaimed by Pope Francis the year of Saint Joseph. A great blessing of protection has been offered to you. During this year you will be forced to make a choice. What presents itself as a vaccine-savior is just an illusion. Soon the mark of the Beast will be imposed on you to buy, to eat, or to travel. The year 2021 is a year of discernment for those who want to be faithful to Christ. To all those who wish to follow Christ, Saint Joseph will assist you. But He must withdraw discreetly on December 8.
“By that time, and it has already started, all those who reject Christ find themselves entering into a force of delusion that makes them believe a lie. A social and planetary lie organized and prepared by the acolytes of the antichrist. They form a false Church which is indeed the social body of the antichrist. They are the ones who rule by fear, domination, by communist and socialist ideologies. They are manipulating for a false universal brotherhood. They have infiltrated the Church of Christ with a view to disfiguring it and desecrating its sacraments. Everything falls into place. Until December 8, these evil acolytes organize themselves through the media and create a climate of suspicion, fear, and denunciation.”
Interesting stuff. Once more, seers vary on support for or rejection of the vaccine (Estela Ruiz of Arizona, a well-known visionary from the 1990s, who herself suffered covid, and whose daughter lapsed into a two-month coma, is, like the Vatican and U.S. bishops, promoting it.)
What may or may not have happened since December 8?
We’re not clear on that, either. (How’s that for vacillation or diplomacy; we’re not sure which?) There’s some vigorous back and forth between detractors of the “seer”-priest and the website he made well-known. One critic analyzes a list of what “failed” predictions and negative statements from bishops here, and a member of the website promoting the seer counters it here).
The latest (less revealing, more sedate) missive from Medjugorje: “
