Great was the wait for the miracle of the liquefaction of the blood of San Gennaro , this morning, in Naples. Many are the faithful who have gathered in the Cathedral since the early hours of the morning, to participate in the celebration of Lauds and Holy Mass, during which they pray to God the Father so that, through his intercession, San Gennaro could perform his miracle.
This is not a celebration of just the day today. The celebrations and Holy Masses in honor of the patron saint of the city have already begun yesterday evening, 18 September, with the traditional procession from the Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore to the Cathedral and with the lighting of the votive lamp in the Cathedral square.
