From Forums of the Virgin Mary [initial translation]:
The rumors and the falsehoods that it spreads.
The Medjugorje apparitions are the most important of the Virgin Mary in our time window.
And despite all the attacks it has received, especially from within the Church, 50 million people have pilgrimaged there and there have been hundreds of healings and religious vocations, and thousands of conversions.
Today some priests, some traditionalist Catholics and some misinformed Catholics take hold of the lies of the father of lies and spread them.
That is why we wanted to make this report, to clarify the half-truths, the fables and the lies that the devil is whispering to some people and that they repeat without discernment.
Here we will talk about the main arguments that the devil has raised to reduce credibility to the Medjugorje apparitions and the seers, and what the true answers are.
Today there is a disinformation strategy mounted within the Church to discredit the Medjugorje apparitions.
And this cannot attract attention, because wherever the Virgin Mary is acting, the evil one is present.
To the point that in an apparition in Medjugorje Our Lady told the seer Mirjana, “Whenever I come to you, My son comes with me, but so does satan.”
Because this small town in Bosnia Herzegovina has attracted more than 50 million pilgrims, has raised the fruits of conversion, vocations and cures, they are a great problem for the evil one.
And also because Our Lady has revealed to the seers 10 actions that heaven will unfold in the future, to end the power of the devil in the world, and that will be communicated at the time that She decides.
And that will begin to unfold once the appearances are over, so stay tuned.
The attack begins first, with the promotion of a false opinion that has spread even among priests, that apparitions that have not yet been approved by a bishop, amount to being disapproved.
But the apparitions that are not disapproved are not condemned by the Church, but are open to investigation, to receive more evidence.
Second, the Medjugorje apparitions had a powerful enemy that was the Bishop of Mostar, who had jurisdiction over Medjugorje.
Initially he was a supporter of the apparitions, but he quickly turned around surprisingly and became a staunch enemy.
A documentary, From Fatima to Medjugorje, maintains that the communist government and the KGB blackmailed Bishop Pavao Zanic with alleged documents of a “compromising” situation with a “young man.”
The situation was so scandalous that Archbishop Frane Franic, president of the Doctrinal Commission of the Yugoslav Episcopal Conference, would say in an interview to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, that only the fierce opposition of Bishop Zanic, who refused to give in, had prevented a positive decision on the Medjugorje apparitions.
Bishop Zanic was succeeded by Bishop Ratko Percic, who testified before witnesses that he had never met or spoken with any of the seers and that he also did not believe in other apparitions of Our Lady, specifically named Fatima and Lourdes.
And he was getting ready to condemn the apparitions as false when the Vatican intervened and appointed in 2010 an international commission to study the apparitions chaired by Cardinal Ruini, to take the jurisdiction of Medjugorje out of his hands.
This commission worked until 2014 producing a document that is currently in the hands of Francisco, and that maintains that the first 7 apparitions were of supernatural origin, and about the rest it is not issued.
He said that it was the Virgin Mary who had appeared and ruled out that the apparitions are the result of the devil.
He also ruled out that there had been fraud in the appearances.
Conclusion that all scientific investigations have reached, which unanimously conclude that seers communicate with someone outside of them, is not the result of an invention or their imagination.
The current stumbling block for approval is that they are ongoing appearances, and the Church has never approved an appearance that has not ended.
But Francis opened the game and appointed an apostolic administrator in 2017, Archbishop Henrik Hoser, who removed the interdictions that the bishopric of Mostar had put in place and began to increase the infrastructure of the place, so that more pilgrims arrive and have more comforts.
But the attack on Medjugorje also materializes through other tricks and falsehoods.
It is said that these seers are not saints and did not follow the religious life and that is a bad sign.
The church shares the position of Benedict XIV, that the instrument that God chooses is fallible.
He has said, “union with God through charity is not a requirement to have the gift of prophecy, and that is why it was sometimes bestowed even on sinners.”
And on the other hand, the Church does not teach that it is necessary for the truthfulness of prophetic statements that seers must enter religious life.
It is certainly a positive fruit. But is the sacrament of marriage a bad fruit? Are the seers less holy or less credible because they chose marriage vocations?
And on the other hand, many of the seers of the dozen approved apparitions did not follow religious life.
Another negative argument that some use to devalue the Medjugorje apparitions is that the place has been transformed into a tourist industry and that the seers have become rich.
First of all, an international pilgrimage site cannot exist without a good infrastructure, such as hotels, restaurants, places of sale of religious products, bookstores, travel agencies, etc.
Lourdes, Guadeloupe, the Vatican have it, if not, they cannot attract millions of visitors.
The tourist industry is necessary to attract pilgrims, obviously without neglecting the spiritual part, but can it be said that Medjugorje is more mundane than the pilgrimage of Lourdes, Guadeloupe and even the Vatican?
Second, the Ruini commission studied the economic position of the seers and concluded that they did not get rich.
And that the opening of lodgings that they made was because they did not have much option.
The entire small town of Medjugorje was overwhelmed, and it was reconverted from an agrarian economy to a tourist one, because that was the demand of the pilgrims.
And the seers were no less.
Furthermore, the Virgin had told them that they had to serve.
The commission says that they were even unprotected by the Church, because they did not provide sources of income, and then they had to do what all the people did.
There are those who revile Medjugorje saying that the messages are repetitive, banal and that Our Lady appears to them too often.
The Medjugorje messages focus on all the modern apparitions of Our Lady, conversion, prayer with the heart, fasting, returning to confession, reading the Word of God, going to mass, etc.
Some will be waiting for more apocalyptic or more denouncing messages, but how many of those who call themselves Catholics do what Our Lady asks of them?
And on the contrary, the fruits should be mentioned, which in the end is what Jesus himself pointed out as a sign of the success of his mission: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are clean, the deaf hear …
In Medjugorje there have been hundreds of documented priestly vocations, more than 600, hundreds of documented healings, more than 400 and thousands of conversions.
And regarding frequent messages, we must bear in mind that public messages were for several years 2 a month, and currently 1 a month.
The rest were personal messages, in the same way as all the seers of other apparitions, because although the public appearances have ended, the seers receive messages throughout their lives.
Another thing that is foisted on him is that Our Lady supposedly said: “All religions are equal before God.”
That quote from the October 1, 1981 message is not correct.
If you go to the message of that day Our Lady actually said,
Members of all faiths are equal before God.
God rules over every belief as a sovereign over his kingdom.
In the world, not all religions are the same, because all people have not fulfilled the commandments of God.
Here it is clearly seen that not all religions are equal, but that all people are equal before God.
And Catholic doctrine holds that God gave all religions, which are not contrary to God naturally, a fraction of the truth, but the Catholic Church has given the whole.
Well, what we have counted so far are the main arguments by which the evil attack on the Medjugorje apparitions is substantiated.
Because it is a known fact that where the Virgin Mary is acting, the devil is trying to divert the fruits and the seers.
And many times it manages to divert the seers somewhere along the way, because after all human beings have free will, and no one is exempt, not even the Medjugorje seers.
And I would like to ask you what you think is the most damaging argument against Medjugorje today.
