We’re excited to be back on the road (God willing) with in-person retreats — the first since the pandemic hit in 2019 and the declared national emergency.
We were an hour away from leaving for the airport when the declaration was made (having a planned event in Phoenix).
Hopefully — faithfully — we’re ready to resume.
Up till then, we had done more than a hundred of them in cities across the U.S. and in Canada.
This new inaugural one will be in the nation’s oldest city, St. Augustine — a real gem of a place where the Spanish explorers and missionaries first set foot and where there is the site of the first documented Catholic Mass in North America.
In fact, the site of that Mass, now a gorgeous shrine called Our Lady of La Leche, is just across the street from the hotel (Doubletree, 116 San Marco Avenue, in the historic district) where the retreat will be held. Rooms can be held by asking for the group rate, and there are other hotels in the immediate vicinity.
It will be Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m. to four p.m.), with author Michael Brown addressing the tremendous spiritual issues, trends, and events that have risen in those years since we were forced to bring personal retreats to a halt. There will be some extensive deep prayers.
At this very spot where America and Christianity in the U.S. was essentially founded, Michael will discuss the future of this nation and the incredible turmoil-darkness that currently encompasses not just the U.S. but the world.
Events around us. Prophecies. Spiritual warfare. The afterlife.
Topics we long have included in these retreats, but now with greatly refreshed and new information.
Visions and dreams. What do they mean? Family healing. Generational issues that are spiritual in nature. Preparation for the afterlife. What attributes of life do we need to focus on especially?
The discussion of prophecy and alleged mysticism will take up the latter part of the day, as Michael focuses on topics some of which are included in his latest book, Future Events.
Or one could call it Lifting the Veil — a closer look at what’s around us in the spirit realm, the extensive unseen reality, unseen to most, but affecting us every day and reported to us from current and past mystics, from those who have had near-death experiences, from personal experiences. New information indeed!
You don’t want to miss this one — discussing America’s hidden past and future, the current chaos, yet also the joyful challenge, in every walk of life.
At this time of such upheaval, and such personal attack, how do we most effectively pray? What does the Blessed Mother mean in a recent message that mentions the “rule” of evil that has arrived? How do we find peace — and balance — when even the Church seems to be navigating rough waves?
Russia. Ukraine. The Middle East. The coming election. The deep division in the U.S. (civil war?). The bizarre weather and other natural occurrences. The “secrets” of places such as Fatima and Medjugorje — seen now in a new light indeed.
And warfare?
Never before has that been more intense. We’ll not just discuss demonology, and new information in that regard, but pray deep supplications of deliverance and protection.
The bizarre manifestations (UFOs, creatures, hauntings) around us continue non-stop. We’ll discuss these — and manifestations, recognized and unrecognized, that afflict many Catholics.
No matter how dark, there is always Christ’s Light. We will discuss near-death experiences and what they reveal about our final destinations. (Nothing is more important than preparing for that day. And nothing is remotely as exciting as Heaven!)
Hell. Yes. It exists, as we’ll discuss. And purgatory. Always much to say about that.
But Heaven breaks ALL darkness, and brings us to the greatest possible delight.
At the end of the retreat, we’ll meet across the street at the shrine and pray on the grounds of the shrine, including at the tremendous, towering Cross there that marks the spot where a Catholic priest on the first voyage planted a Cross, claiming the land for Jesus. (The Cross now there stands as the tallest one known on this continent and perhaps in the world.)
Join us for what we believe and pray will be an unforgettable, joyous, uplifting, devotional, and informative day!
