From Valora Magazine (roughly translated):
The painting with the replica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, donated years ago to the shrine, surprised its custodians by changing the image to the celestial color in an inexplicable way. This also happened in the retreat house Casa de María in Luján.
I was an eyewitness to the unusual event that occurred last weekend at the Sanctuary of Mary of the Rosary of San Nicolás. And being a journalist I can not stop telling my testimony because of its significance, at a time when the victorious “Celeste Wave for Life” originated in Argentina is replicated in Latin America.
It all began with the invitation to go to the Shrine of a great friend Paula Trossero, catechist and servant of the work since its inception. She for a long time gave talks about the history, messages and construction of the place and participated getting some of the sacred images that are part of the collection of the Marian Shrine.
Last weekend Paula organized a private talk for a group with Monsignor Carlos Antonio Pérez, who was the protagonist of the miraculous event, being confessor of the visionary Gladys Quiroga de Motta. The reason for the talk was to make known the new book of Monsignor Pérez entitled The Coming of the Lord, where he shares his knowledge and vision about the events of today and closeness of the end of time, tribulation period and purification before of his coming.
The day after the most interesting meeting, Paula Trossero had an informal meeting with Father Luis Prieto, current Rector of the Shrine, and took the opportunity to ask him about the replica of the Tilma de Guadalupe that was brought from Mexico and that was for years in the Temple. In one of the messages before 1990, the Virgin asked the visionary to bring the images of Lourdes, Fatima and Guadalupe from the temples of each country with their original seal.
This image, the original replica, was delivered and blessed by the Mexican Bishop of Guadalupe, in the hands of Monsignor Domingo Salvador Castagña in Mexico City, being Bishop of San Nicolás. Paula tells us that the image was located in the old building on the left side of the top of the confessional. There it was placed next to another smaller painting of San Juan Diego praying to him. There was no sun, it gave shade. Then the image was removed by the construction of the last stage of the temple and stopped being exposed.
When last Sunday Paula asked Father Prieto about the painting of the Guadalupana, he told her that they had removed it because it was fading and losing its colors. That had turned yellow, apparently, by the effect of light or the passage of time, so it had been located in a corridor of the office sector.
Grand was Paula’s surprise when she asked to see her and saw the printed image of the Virgin dressed in sky blue, with the same tone as the handkerchiefs of the “National Campaign in Defense of the Two Lives.”
Coincidence, fiction, fanaticism …? Being as objective as possible, the reproduction did not seem faded by the passage of time. What I could find out is that the reproductions that come from the Basilica of Guadalupe in original size bring a seal of authenticity and are made on a high quality photographic paper with pigmented inks that hardly fade before a century.
What happened? … No one knows and it is premature to know what the ecclesial authorities will do. But I wonder is not this a “supernatural” manifestation of the Virgin in support of the “Celestial Wave” in favor of the 2 Lives, on the eve of the 35 years of the Shrine that are celebrated this September 25.
Celeste in Luján
My surprise was greater when they told me about another Guadalupana image that had turned blue, this time in Luján in the Casa de María, a retreat place. I contacted María Inés Ordoñez, Director of the Spirituality Center Santa María, who confirmed the finding. (See photo) She tells that they received in 2001 an original reproduction of the image of the Basilica Mexico. In 2003 it was all of a very light color and then little by little they appeared as patches of turquoise blue and remained with the color of the mantle of the Virgin of Luján. “Some colorists came from Mexico, this is registered in the Basilica of Mexico and they told us that it can get faded if it is in the sun, but not changing color, that’s the weird thing, and the golds are sometimes more intense,” he said.
The incredible thing is that when comparing both “faded” assumptions, these are surprisingly equal.
It is a fact that after the triumph of Life in Argentina, the campaigns with mass demonstrations were ignited in Paraguay, Guatemala and soon in Brazil on September 30 and Chile on October 25.
In a message in San Nicolás de la Virgen to the visionary of 5/2/1985 that says “Today in the morning I have a vision: I see a street, I find myself standing and some huge monsters come in my direction, it’s like an avalanche , they are horrible and others look like people, but very ugly have a big head and ears. When he is very close to me, a celestial wall appears and stands between the monsters and me.
Then I see the Virgin and she tells me: Those monsters represent the evil one, who wants to attack the Church and the wall is my protective cloak. The Lord puts me as a shield, as a guardian, I will defend you my children.
Coincidence or causality? … What better advocate than the most famous Spanish-speaking Virgin, that of Guadalupe “Star of the New Evangelization” with her message from the “end of the world” Argentina for Latin America and the rest of the planet.
