We recently asked [see story] for feedback from those who may have had true cases of what they call precognitive nocturnal visions — what are better known as dreams that come true.
And we heard from a number of good folks.
Said viewer Rich Mitrak out of Michigan about a dream, “I was in the doorway of my grandmother’s house. I looked to the left, and in what we called the front room I observed a family gathering taking place.
“I walked towards the kitchen, and straight in front of me, I watched another family gathering happening. I walked into the kitchen and saw a third family gathering transpire.
“I then looked at the kitchen table and there, seated as she always would be, was my deceased grandmother. I was so happy to see her!
“Someone touched my shoulder and arm. I turned to see my grandfather standing in front of me (he too had passed and had previously come to me in a dream). He pointed to ‘his chair.’
“I went into the living room because I could not see the front of his chair as its back was facing the kitchen. In it sat my uncle.
“My uncle looked terrible. His face was sunken in and he was ashen grey. He had tubes coming from all over his body, each leading to one of dozens of machines. He looked to be on death’s door. Just horrible.
“I woke up and somehow, I intuitively knew what the dream meant: My uncle was going to die, after a certain number of family gatherings taking place, and my grandfather and grandmother wanted me to warn him about it.
“One would think this to be an easy mission, but my uncle and I hadn’t spoken for at least ten years. How does one randomly call another up after such a period and say ‘Hi. It’s good to talk to you. Oh, by the way, your dead parents wanted me to tell you you’re going to die’?
“I thought about it and quite frankly became afraid after realizing that if I didn’t call him, and he died before being able to receive repentance, then it would be on me. I made the call.
“When I got done telling him that he was going to die in such and such a period of time, he didn’t say anything. There was an extended period of silence. I was not expecting this type of response. I was expecting to be ridiculed, disbelieved, etcetera. However, I received nothing in response. Nothing.
“As you can guess, after the foretold number of family gatherings, my uncle died. I was told via phone that he had fallen off a roof and was in a coma. The time came and they were going to pull the plug.
“I went to the hospital and when I entered, I saw him in the hospital bed. He looked like death and had all sorts of tubes sticking out of him; each all leading to what seemed to be a room full of machines.
“It was somehow determined that I would stay as they pulled the plug. I don’t remember if I had put the scapular on him or someone else had. Everyone left and I started saying the ‘Three Prayers for the Dying’ (out of the little blue prayer book), as well as the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I was crying the whole way through the Chaplet but was able to get it done.
“The plug was pulled as I, and the nurses who were there, cried.
“I left the room a wreck. I got to the front doors and as I went to the front walkway, a large veil separated in front of me. I stopped in my tracks. I watched in awe as another world opened in front of me. I stood there staring at both worlds as people in this world simply walked around me. Looking back, this world seemed so very grey in comparison.
“The vision of the other world was a bright beautiful place. I saw my uncle. He too seemed to be in awe. He was wearing a brown ankle-length tunic and was walking along a path. This path meandered through hilly fields and it led off into the distance towards a mountain. I watched as my uncle continued along his way toward this mountain.
“My uncle has since come to me in some dreams as well. It is hard to describe how good he looks but he looks wonderful. Just wonderful. Thank You Lord!”
Wrote a viewer named Barry MacDonald of Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada: “I’ve had a few that were very disturbing over the years. The first was a dream of massive fires over a large landscape of land and I was standing on a hill overlooking the destruction that was immense and filled me with fear; the year would have been in late 90’s.
“The second one that caused me great fear was being on a plane and men in black outfits and masked like Ninjas were flashing knives and obviously hijacking the plane I was on, again this would be late 90’s
“The other disturbing nightmare was about a year before Covid hit and I was with my granddaughter in a city that was dark and foreboding and had no people in it like a city abandoned in an old movie set. I was trying to find a way out but no matter where we ran, we seemed to be struggling to find a way out, and no one to help us. The city looked like it was bombed out at times we ran up and down the abandoned streets and stores. I could sense people hiding from us.
“The end of it: I was in a broken down trailer and a bright white light encircled the area but it didn’t hurt the eyes to look at the glow and I could feel the Presence of Jesus. I’m not sure what or where we ended after that but was thankful it was only a dream.”
Wrote Ronald Phillips: “One night I was having a vivid dream. My wife was in the passenger seat of our car and I was driving her to the hospital to have a baby. She was beginning to slump some in the seat and we did not make it to the hospital. She gave birth in the front seat of the car when the car stopped.
“At that moment in front of my stopped car a neighbor’s son walked in front of the car and peered in, much the way Alfred Hitchcock would casually appear in his movies, strolling through the scene. The boy’s name was Gordan. I woke up immediately at that time and looked my alarm clock, realizing I was in a dream. The clock said about 4:15 a.m. I turned over and went back to sleep not saying anything to my wife. When morning came, I got up as usual and went to work not mentioning anything about my dream.++
“I had a dream about her that night. Then again the next night. Then again on the third night.
“I couldn’t shake the feeling that I better get her that gift. The fourth day on my lunch hour I got her the gift and gave it to her. That day as we worked together, she thanked me and was happy.
“That night she was in a car accident and died instantly with my gift in the back seat.
“I was so happy that I gave her that gift that day. If it wasn’t for dreaming about her for three nights I probably wouldn’t gotten her that gift that day.”
