It’s important, in the spiritual journey: to recognize what and where Grace abounds.
“We are justified by His Grace as a gift, through the redemption that is Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).
Grace is having sufficiency for all things.
It is what we have been given — which is life itself.
It is the movement of the Holy Spirit onto and into our lives. (Don’t leave home without it!)
Important here: to stand in it. To stand in the Holy Spirit. To let everything else swirl around and by you.
But not Him.
Romans 5:1-2: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we also have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we celebrate in hope of the glory of God.”
When we stand in something, we have made a commitment. We have made a decision. We have both feet in it.
When troubles arrive — sorrows, worries, illness — it’s important to turn more directly than ever to Him, and to His Blessed Mother, who stands by His side.
Mary, as we know so well, is “full of Grace.”
The Lord is with her.
The Lord is with us when we too stand firm in faith.
It can be hard, but look at Mary’s faith! At such a young age, simply heeding words spoken to her in the superantural.
The very last words of the Bible are, “The grace of LORD Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.” (Revelation 22:21). Scripture’s final words remind us that grace is the focus of God and His Son.
