The Lord invites us always every hour each day to go to Him with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed.

A close walk with Him is a life of continual newness, pointed out an Aussie Christian writer.

Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year.

No.

Instead, seek His Face with an open mind, knowing that your journey with Him involves being transformed by the renewing of your mind.

As you focus your thoughts on Him, be aware that He is fully attentive to you. He sees you with a steady Eye, because His attention span is: infinite.

He knows and understands you in everlasting love.

He perhaps whispers, “I also know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” 

Give yourself fully to this adventure of increasing attentiveness to His Presence.

Keep too in mind James 2:1 “My brothers, count it pure joy when you are involved in every sort of trial. Realize that when your faith is tested this makes for endurance. Let endurance come to its perfection so that you may be fully mature and lacking in nothing.”

Be still. Be calm. Say harmful things about no one.
