In racing toward the Throne, mankind is racing toward a netherworld.
It all tallies to the High Sin of Lucifer.
The “Throne” is God’s, and, no, humans are not rushing there to worship. They’re trying to usurp it, to ascend as new Creator.
That’s as dangerous as it sounds: It was the attempt to ascend to the Throne that got Lucifer thrown into hell, and now, gormlessly, we follow his wayward trail.
Let us spell out the ways:
We have violated His right to create with contraception and violently upended it with abortion. We have usurped His right by continuing to allow capital punishment. We are now adding to the litany of life violations with euthanasia – deciding when a sick person (and these days, sometimes not even a truly ill person) should die. This is horrendous – enough by itself to rain down wrath: In 2021, there were 7,666 cases of euthanasia (notice those last three digits?) in the Netherlands, 4,480 in Canada (Canada!), 2,357 in Belgium, and more than 1,300 in the United States (particularly in Washington and Oregon). In 2022, the Netherlands outdid itself, surpassing eight thousand.
That’s nefarious enough, but there are numerous other ways we seek to usurp God’s role as Creator.
There is meddling with human embryos. There are surrogate mothers. There is choosing natal gender. There is experimentation with aborted babies ( most recently, in Pittsburgh, scalping them and implanting their hair onto rats, for purposes that are as contrived as they are bizarre and profane).
Instead of simply railing against this, let us pray for those transgressing every time we hear or read or view transgressions.
AI? We are rapidly heading toward various forms of artificial intelligence that certainly can have benefits, especially in health care, but that in many cognitive tasks – which materialists take to compose the mind and spirit of Man – will surpass the human brain.
Last week, Russian television had Vladimir Putin conversing with an AI version of himself (it was very difficult to tell which was which, or is it: which was witch).
(It was the one on the right.)
As crazy as anything, we are assigning gender: No longer is one necessarily the gender ‘he’ or ‘she’ was born with but what one decides later in life — and you better not rebel against that “right.”
A student failed an exam (also last week) for saying (in answer to a question) that only females become pregnant.
Now – in the U.S., on official documents! – one has a choice of picking one of the two genders or checking off “other” (a teacher at a Catholic school in Upstate New York identified as ‘mermaid’).
Also last week, a young girl was forced at a camp to share a bed with a transgender who was really a boy. It is as absurd as it is evil. Adam and Eve?
Quash that ‘myth,’ says our brave new world, which is replacing the parchment of the Bible with silicon chips.
For the first time, a team of stem cell researchers in Israel have created mouse embryos in the lab without using any eggs or sperm and watched them grow outside the womb, says BBC.
Planned Parenthood first began providing hormone treatments for transgender patients in 2005, and since then 41 out of 49 regional branches have provided transgender services as of 2022. However, in just the last three years, Planned Parenthood has become dramatically more involved in the gender hormone industry, says LifeNews.
Most dastardly of all, we are trying to combine human cells with animal ones – create hybrids.
It seems God should have known better.
It took Man to invent the ‘humanzee.’
(Noah, expand the Ark.)
(At the same time, we are destroying nature.)
You can’t make this stuff up. You wouldn’t want to.
And if that doesn’t take the crown, there was (of course again, just last week) word that scientists were toiling to integrate human brain cells with AI circuitry.
“Researchers have built a hybrid biocomputer — combining laboratory-grown human brain tissue with conventional electronic circuits — that can complete tasks such as voice recognition,” says Nature. “The technology, described on 11 December in Nature Electronics, could one day be integrated into artificial intelligence (AI) systems, or form the basis of improved models of the brain in neuroscience research.”
A “brave new world” it is, but one that in its hubris and concomitant blindness, heads toward a cliff.
