I was born in Peru. – Have lived in Texas since 1969.
The website, “WHERE PETER IS”, about 4 years ago wrote about the so-called Pachamama event at the Vatican gardens. A catholic Byzantine deacon, with a degree in world religions examined this event in detail. – His conclusions :
1. – Pachamama was an ANDEAN indian cult of ‘mother earth’.
2.- The Amazonian natives never worshiped any of the Andean gods, because they are a completely different race and culture. They practiced ‘animism‘ in the past…
3. – The wooden statue was one of many artifacts laid in the garden at the vatican, they were bought at a store in an amazonian town. The statue that caused the scandal was not Pachamama, it was simply a wooden carving of a pregnant woman, among other trinkets.
4. – The visitors were all devout catholics. Not idolaters. This was a calumny heaped upon them.
In fact, they didn’t even know what the little statue was… – simply a work of native art…

Hi Michael,
I know you like pictures like these and I am not sure if I sent this to you before. It is a picture of Fr. Joe Whalen’s grave that I took in October. There is no reflective material at the grave that would be responsible for the bright light. We like to think it was St. Raphael photo bombing the picture. God bless Mary Ann
