From Forums of the Virgin Mary:
You can see them, feel them or manifest them in dreams.
The manifestations of the supernatural world that surrounds us are habitual for many people.
Not for others.
It is a mystery why some people can see that world permanently, others occasionally, and others very rarely.
But just because we don’t see him doesn’t mean he’s not acting.
Exorcists often turn to people who call them “sensitive” to help them perceive these supernatural presences during exorcisms and during house cleaning.
Here we will talk about which are the entities that are present in our daily life and thus be able to define how to act, in the face of things that happen to us.
There is a supernatural world around us that we do not see with our physical eyes.
There are angels and demons at work .
There are souls who have already passed through the particular judgment , after death, are in heaven or purgatory, and visit the earth with God’s permission.
For example souls from purgatory and saints from heaven.
There are souls that died and are stuck on Earth without having gone to the private trial, several exorcists have encountered these souls.
And there are also traces of powerful spiritual events permeating physical things and manifesting themselves.
On almost none of these things the Church has taken an official position.
And we cannot fall into the easy way of saying that these things do not exist because we do not understand them.
Or in the one that Protestants do, to put everything in the same bag, because everything has to fit like a puzzle in their ideology, otherwise you are an idolater.
There is enormous evidence in all cultures of invisible beings manifesting on earth.
And in general we name them ghosts until we can identify what entities it is.
What all Christians agree on is that some of them are angels or demons.
The angels are trying to help us, for example the guardian angel that each one of us has.
And the demons are trying to tempt us, to stray from the path, and to scare us as well, as with demonic house infestations.
And then there are various categories of manifestations of human souls.
Human beings are a union of body and soul.
And after death, the two are separated until the resurrection of the body in the final judgment, which has not happened yet.
But until that moment, our souls in heaven, purgatory, or hell, are disembodied spirits.
Saint Thomas Aquinas in his Summa Theologiae writes that “In accordance with the will of God, separated souls sometimes leave their dwelling place and appear to men.”
There is much evidence of these visits.
There is the famous case that happened to Don Bosco when he was a seminarian and that had the rest of the seminarians as witnesses.
Don Bosco had a close friend named Luigi Comollo with whom he had made a pact that the first to die would come to tell the other what his fate was, if God gave him permission to do so.
Luigi died in April 1839 and the next day a great noise was heard advancing through the seminary corridor at midnight, the seminarians awoke in terror.
And the door of Don Bosco’s room was violently opened and a light of various colors appeared and increased.
And the unmistakable voice of Luigi was heard saying, for three consecutive times: «Bosco, Bosco, Bosco! I was saved!
Apparitions like these have been reported by hundreds of people throughout history.
And also stories of souls from purgatory who appear to the living to ask for prayers to quickly get out of there.
In some mystics they are so frequent that Padre Pio said that in his life he had seen more souls of the dead than living beings.
This is one of the few things, around this phenomenon, in which the Church has taken a position, it says that the souls of the dead can visit the living with God’s permission.
But there have also been reports of presences that are manifested to solve problems of the living.
For example to give information they need or to recover a lost object or to give advice.
Those who are in heaven are saints, and many times our relatives or acquaintances have appeared in a way that excludes that they are in purgatory.
And many times famous saints have appeared, such as Saint Joseph, Saint Francis of Assisi, Padre Pio, etc.
And above all, it is common for dead relatives to appear to give comfort to their relatives and even to inform that they are well and happy.
After disasters with a large number of deaths, a peak of these apparitions is registered.
These appearances are usually from almost invisible, like the sensation of a presence, to manifestations of the clear whole body, which is solid to the touch; going through all the aspects in between.
But there are also presences that remain in the places where they apparently died.
The exorcists have encountered these souls, Father Fortea has said, and has even verified that many do not know that they died and that others do not find the way to the light, that is, to the hereafter.
And they are not demons because they can pray and praise God without manifesting any terrible pain, if the exorcist asks them to.
Most seem that they did not know that God existed, unlike demons.
And in some old places, in buildings with centuries of history, these ghosts often manifest themselves, that is why in the old cities of Europe there are so many ghost stories.
For example, a nun has related that she lives in a convent that used to be an orphanage.
And on the third floor there is a passage that has a series of closets in front of what were once bedrooms.
Presences are felt there, closet doors are sometimes mysteriously open.
And daily the soft sound is heard as if it were a broom sweeping.
These presences seem to be permanently detained there, they do nothing except those demonstrations.
And since they are harmless, they are incorporated into the landscape, as could be a crunchy board on the floor.
There are also many stories told by workers in hospitals.
An electrician from a hospital for example tells that an old man died one night, he had Alzheimer’s.
His body went to the funeral home and the door to the room was closed until the family went to look for his belongings.
For three nights the nurse call bell rang from that room, just at the time of his death.
The electrician went and disconnected the electricity to the doorbell, but it continued to ring, something physically impossible.
Then a nurse, used to these cases, opened the window of the room and said “Mr. Allen! Stop ringing that bell! He’s dead, so go to the light and meet your family! ”
And the ringing stopped for good.
But also our souls seem to leave invisible impressions on the objects around us.
Traces of powerful spiritual events are impregnated on the objects.
For example, there is a story of a priest with musical studies who went to a parishioner for dinner.
When he arrived he asked about the children.
And her mother said they were in the next room playing under the table.
He approached the table to greet them and heard the children sing a form of ancient chant, sung many decades ago in church, nothing that children would have learned by going to church.
Puzzled, he asked them “who taught you to sing that?”
And the children told him quite naturally: “the table taught us.”
The priest then tracked down the ancient table and discovered that it had been used as an altar during a time of persecution, a time when these songs were sung at mass.
In short, there is a supernatural world that we do not see with our physical eyes.
Not just angels and demons operating for us or against us.
But also souls who are already in heaven or purgatory , and visit the earth with God’s permission and come to help us or to ask us for prayer.
There are also souls that died and are tied to the place that they died , we don’t know why they have not yet gone to the private trial
And there are also traces of powerful spiritual events permeating the physical objects and manifesting themselves.
Given all this, it should be clear that the Church prohibits the invocation of the dead, although it accepts that a soul that appears can be asked what it needs.
Whether God chooses to send us to the dead or allow them to appear, it is one thing.
But calling for the dead to come, no.
Because those who can answer are the demons, who will be very happy to imitate our loved ones.
Well, so far we wanted to talk about what can be the invisible presences that are manifested to people on earth and the precautions that must be taken.
And I would like to ask you if any supernatural manifestations that we talked about have happened to you, who do you think it was and what did you do?
