One might say that electricity has replaced many roles of the Holy Spirit.
It is pervasive. It seems all-powerful.
When we want light, we simply hit a switch.
We can transport to other places (cyber-travel), and communicate, in an instant.
Google search tells us all we know. We can even see our neighborhood from above (with Google Earth), from an all-seeing eye (satellite).
When we need to alter the “weather,” we simply turn on heat or the air conditioning.
But with electricity come some fruits that are very questionable. In fact the Force of Electricity is so prevalent that it surrounds us constantly, all the while, even when we don’t want it to, even when we are not using it — pervades our atmosphere more than the smoke from factories and cars ever did. Modern life is one of electronic smog. GPS. Power lines. Microwave towers.
And there are health questions about that — growing signs it could (like classic pollution) be hazardous to the health.
When possible, it makes sense to limit exposure.

How Can You Protect Yourself from Electromagnetic Radiation?+
- Hold your cell phone or cordless phone away from your head when talking. Most cell phone manuals state that you should keep your phone at least 15 millimeters (5/8 inch) away from your head when using it. Also, use speakerphone or text when you can.
- Avoid putting your laptop on your lap. Try to use a secondary keyboard and mouse to give yourself some distance.
- Keep your modem away from your living spaces. When possible, have your modem installed in the least-travelled corner of your home.
- Stand back from your microwave when it’s operating. Some microwaves can leak a small amount of radiation when they’re on, so it’s best to give them some space until your food is done.
