Here’s to remember: God is the doorkeeper. He is always in charge. He can push open the gates to anything you may need or desire and the enemy can do nothing to close them.
That’s right: whether it’s a door closed to emotional stability, to love, to financial security, to ridding addiction, to health, to family peace, to general well-being: God can open those doors as well as blockades you don’t even realize are there.
We all go through frustration, a door that won’t open to a job, or perhaps a loan, to a relationship, a cure. The devil tells us we can’t get through, it will never happen, that healing of body or spirit, but God, in His time, can do anything.
Dead bolts? Chains on those doors?
God can split them like iron.
What does Scripture say? “This is what the LORD says to Cyrus His anointed, whom I have taken by the right hand, you subdue nations before him And you undo the weapons belt on the waist of kings,” says Isaiah 45: “To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. “I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name.'” Just listen for Him to call you!
What is stymieing you, frustrating you, holding you back? What worries and plagues you, hanging overhead like a dark cloud or shadow? What place do you want to go to but can’t?
When we ram against those doors, bang our heads against them, or try to pry them open ourselves, usually we get nowhere. God holds the key to everything He has designed for our lives and we reach those splendid designs when we go to Him with fullness of heart, which is the faith of prayer.
Yes: God will take you where you’ve never been. It may take time. It often takes trials. The Israelites wandered the desert for forty years! They could see the Promised Land, glimpse it, they knew where it was, but they couldn’t enter until God opened the gates to it.
Doors are going to open for you. Believe that and they will. Love God with your whole heart.
David in Psalm 24: “Open up, ancient gates. Lift up your heads, you gates, and be lifted up, you ancient doors.”
The door stopping you, stifling, causing worry or worse, may be an ancient one. It may be passed down from generations. Actions of ancestors may be silently inhibiting or even tormenting you. A curse. Doors can be closed in family lines to various things for generations.
Pray God blast down those obstacles and release the blessings–the goodness of ancestors, the holy side of the family, their ancient prayers—and turn a curse into a blessing(s).
Addiction. Depression. Gluttony. Perhaps low self-esteem. Financial want. Mediocrity. Those are not your true destiny. Your right destination is in He Who comes through the door as the God of Glory (Psalm 24:7).
“Who may stand in His holy place? One who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to deceit and has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive a blessing from the LORD.”
How do we get there? Everything dark starts there. We have to have discipline. We must learn to stop that first negative thought. We have to learn not to “own” thoughts that are antagonistic, disliking, arrogant, discouraging, depressing, anxious, selfish, or any sort of lust or pride.
Purity of mind is purity of heart which is purity of soul. War is fought in the world when the battle has been lost in in the soul and mind.
Open the door to tranquility.
A sign of your destiny, this is.
Blessings, freedom, wholeness, success.
God wishes the best and has the best in your future. You have to walk to it. You have to present the Doorkeeper with your right of passage, forged in true deepest goodness.
Chains break. Deadbolts fly off. No castle moat is wide enough to keep you from what God designed for you.
Cast away the spirit of this world. Stop hovering over culture, over politics, over the trivia of life on earth. Remember that there are no “big” things on earth except the goodness and love you take with you. As the sun blazes through clouds so do doors open for those who look upward. Come out generational curses, generational struggles, generational limitations. Walk into the prayers of your great-great grandparents, your uncles, your mother and father. Ancient gates are going to open. The Doorkeeper cometh to those prepared for what is next.
Only when we purge by generating love everywhere in every circumstance do we become clear enough to fully receive; only then does the ultimate door open.
