Those unsure of “generational healing”—the notion that spiritual forces follow family lines—might take a look at the sonogram below.

Just an artifact of the camera?

You’re excused for thinking that it looks like a satyr watching over an innocent, forming child.

In short, the demon on the right is right there in the womb, as if in wait. There is a sense of ownership, isn’t there?

Probably it is alluded to in the Bible (particularly Exodus 20:5; 34:7; Numbers 14:18; and Deuteronomy 5:9), wherein God warns “I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me.”

“Ancestral sin can be punished even to the tenth generation, as stated in Deuteronomy 23:2-3,” added one expert, Father John Hampsch, expanding it.

When a person sins, a demon can be attached to the person, who can then disseminate it to his or her offspring, is the theory. Remember the Garden of Eden?

It’s a good lesson for Lent.

And it can get creepy, below.

“‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness’ (I John 1:9),” noted Father Hampsch, for “the fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge” (Jeremiah 31:29).

“Every family and ancestry—save for Jesus, Mary, and Joseph—has tendencies that were or are negative and need to be purged. It could be a family inclination to selfishness, division, pride, or argumentation. It could be occultism. It could be a preoccupation with materialism. It could be lying. These characteristics need to be cast out as ‘spirits’—blotches of darkness—or they will repeat themselves like a broken record in our lives and then in the lives of those who come after us.”
