We are in an amazing and unimaginable time.
There is birth control. It’s now like taking an aspirin. There’s abortion described with the atrocious synonym as “women’s health care.” (Health care?) It’s now also done largely with a pill.
Then there is the gender dystopia.
It started with the normalization of (and even “pride” in) homosexuality, which the Bible calls “sodomy.” This practice has hijacked the word a synonym (for happiness).
The euphemisms!
There are transvestites or cross-dressers: men who dress as women (even at the Emmys; part alien also?).
Taking that a fantastic step further, there is now “transgenderism”: the medical procedure of multilating a male body into a close semblance of a female one and a female body into one that is or tries to be masculine. This too we are “proud” of. In the U.S. and Canada, there are states and provinces that require health insurance plans, including Medicaid, to cover “gender-affirming” surgeries.
Affirming?
What it seems to affirm is Jeremiah 51, which reads in part (29-31):
“So the land quakes and writhes,
For the purposes of the Lord against Babylon stand,
To make the land of Babylon
A desolation without inhabitants.
The mighty men of Babylon have ceased fighting,
They stay in the strongholds;
Their strength is exhausted,
They are becoming like women;
Their dwelling places are set on fire,
The bars of her gates are broken.”
That pretty well sums up the current risk.
