[From The God of Healing]:
You are not destined for dementia, for arthritis, for heart disease, for cancer.
Even if you’ve done damage, even if your lifestyle has been negligent—even if you are bed-ridden or obese—you can reverse it with God and His nutrition. He will help you when you start helping yourself.
With God, we transcend the physical, which, left on its own, always tends toward entropy (falling apart).
We all die to the physical but should seek to live as long as God has designed for us.
Darkness can prevent this. The word “malignancy” comes from “malign,” which means “evil in nature.”
“The evil one has the power to cause physical and mental illness,” wrote Father Gabriele Amorth, the famous exorcist. “The two most commonly affected areas are the head and the stomach. Usually, the sickness is persistent. At times, though, it is transitory, lasting only the length of the exorcism. Many times women have come to me before undergoing surgery for ovarian cysts, which were diagnosed following a sonogram and the description of the pain. After the benediction, the pain stopped; a new sonogram showed the absence of any cyst, and surgery was canceled. [Another exorcist] can document numerous cases of grave illnesses that disappeared simply with his ‘blessing,’ including medically verified brain tumors. I must caution that these incidents can happen only to people who are subject to ‘negativities,’ and by this I mean cases whose origin is of suspected evil origin.”
“One day a new patient was delivered to our ward,” a nurse in New Zealand recounted. “The main nurse told me that he had terminal cancer and that he had only two more weeks to live. He was lying in his bed completely pale; half of his face was covered with a bandage as the cancer had eaten up his upper jaw. The man had to be fed with a syringe and was on morphine. I avoided his contact for some days, as the sight of him caused me discomfort and shudders.”
Soon, however, this nurse—an active Christian—felt “called” to pray for the man and did so by “binding” and casting out the “spirit of cancer”—declaring against the seed, root, and cells of that disease; laying hands on the patient; and commanding every malignant cell in his body to die (along with ordering his bone marrow to produce healthy blood and verbally directing tissue affected by the cancer to regenerate). In two weeks, the man was back to walking on his own and was dismissed from the hospital soon after.
In many such cases, there is a point of access through which darkness enters.
The occult. Hatefulness. Greed. Lust. Jealousy.
Darkness comes through transgression like a vortex, for when we transgress, we’re breaching our spirits and putting God at a distance. The farther away He is, the farther away is the healing power of Grace. What were the health effects (fruits) of promiscuity, homosexuality, drug use, prostitution, alcoholism, and gluttony? (We all know about cervical cancer and AIDS.)
Wellness is the opposite of hate. It is the opposite of lust. It is the antonym of selfishness.
Are there innocent victims?
There certainly are. Suffering is often sent for mysterious reasons. Again: we all die. Our bodies degrade. I don’t pretend to know all root causes. Eventually, every physical body succumbs. Age often brings ailments as the body runs a natural course.
But we can recognize certain rules and ask: Are we violating them? Have we allowed portals of darkness?
Or—joy—are we filled with the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Health itself)?
And–more joy!–have we realized the Scripture: that our bodies are “a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, Whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?’ (I Corinthians 6:19).
