Oh, yes, the sky.

Today (8/12) in Spain is a total solar eclipse, the first in one-hundred-and-twenty years.

What does it portend?

Perhaps nothing more than an unusual but certainly not unprecedented astronomical alignment (although there will also be a Perseid meteor shower twinning with it).

Elsewhere are clouds, at times, this time of year, dramatic.

Thank God, no hurricane ones thus far.

But how’s this for a thunderstorm last week over lower Manhattan (as seen from the Empire State Building)?

New York literally has been like a rainforest.

This one we showed recently from a subtropical zone (north-central Florida).

And this was a while back (an iridescent pileus cloud).

Nature—God’s Creation— presents endless wonders, when we don’t overlook or despoil it.

We’re always intrigued by the ones from Medjugorje in Hercegovina.
