Many are the hidden things — ironies, forces, and coincidences — in life. Some prefer to know them as “signs.”
It is perhaps happenstance — but perhaps (and probably) not — that the storm which paralyzed both the nation’s capitol, its place of Independence (Baltimore-Philadelphia corridor), and its largest city (New York) was named “Jonas” by meteorologists at the Weather Channel.
Jonas is the Greek transliteration of “Jonah” — derived from the Old Testament prophet who was sent to warn the then-great city of Nineveh that if it did not mend its ways it would be destroyed. Nineveh was the New York of its day, believed to have been the largest city in the world for half a century, a center of trade, lascivious conduct, and materialism, where peoples of the known world gathered.
Although spared initially when it repented, the city returned to its old ways and was decimated by Babylonians and Assyrians.
As Jesus explained in Luke 11:29-30, “This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonah the prophet.”
He came, thus, did Jonah, as a warning, as this storm comes as a warning to those prone to viewing matters beyond the veneer of fortuity. The ruins of Nineveh are in modern-day Iraq just across the river from Mosul — where ISIS and other Muslim radicals have demolished Catholic churches and committed the wholesale slaughter of Christians.
It was also the place where a seer named Dinah Basher said she experienced apparitions of the Blessed Mother, who warned of a coming apocalypse (which, in a regional way, has certainly occurred).
Just freakish accidents of history?
Or signs of coming times for the world — at least last week, for the Eastern seaboard of the United States, coming, as the blizzard did (1/22/16), on the anniversary of Roe V. Wade.
We have that to consider. “Jonas.” Frankly, not many see it or anything like it in the context of prophecy. Coincidence?
The name “Katrina” (remember that storm?) means “purification.”
Is the photo to the left, which we displayed the other day, just a product of photo-shopping — or did it come, as asserted, this cloud, in the storm bands just before another hurricane, “Patricia,” struck Mexico?
Here’s a recent “word of knowledge” from a claimed seer named Valentina Papagna of Sydney, Australia who says the Lord appears to her:
“A lot of people are dying everywhere, either due to accidents, crimes, natural disasters, sicknesses and wars. The prayers that you My children offer Me will save their souls. You do not realize how many souls are saved through your prayers. Prayers are essential. Don’t stop My children. Events are unfolding very rapidly in these times in which you are now living. There are signs in nature such as floods and earthquakes. They will become more frequent and more intense. Yet, I am so sad that all the people in the world still remain deaf and blind to these signs. The earth is swallowing cars, houses, and people. But still people remain blind. They do not acknowledge that something is wrong; they don’t recognize the signs. If they would only come and repent. I am so full of Love. I have so much to offer everyone.”
If nothing else, a meditation.
We’ll be discussing new prophecies at coming retreats.
In the area of Vancouver, British Columbia (Surrey), oil is emanating mysteriously from a wall in the apartment of one Sanaan Alyais video here]. Another sign? Or deception? In Syria, where another seer warned of coming events, oil exudes from this alleged mystic’s forehead, in a region where there is so much satanic bloodshed.
Another coincidence: Many shows on TV about the devil these days. Start with “Lucifer” and then on to the new planned series on “The Exorcist.” (Dangerous stuff to play with, but also emblematic of a very real if hidden force.)
The most recent message from Medjugorje, upon which the Vatican still has not ruled, “Dear children! Also today I am calling all of you to prayer. You cannot live without prayer, because prayer is a chain which brings you closer to God. Therefore, little children, in humility of heart return to God and to His commandments so that with all of your heart you are able to say: as it is in Heaven so may it be on earth. You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him. See where Satan wants to pull you into sin and slavery. Therefore, little children, return to my heart so that I can lead you to my Son Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Satan mentioned much in the past year.
Speaking of that disastrous Supreme Court decision in 1973, which centered on a woman dubbed “Jane Roe,” who supposedly wanted an abortion: few know that “Roe, whose real name is Norma McCorvey, of Texas, never did abort her child, and is now active in the pro-life movement. McCorvey, came from a family that included a prostitute in the family line who was also into the occult. Hidden spiritual factors?
This you will not hear the media or Planned Parenthood discuss, as they also neglect the racist and eugenic motivations as well as the occult links of the organization’s foundress, Margaret Sanger — currently championed by people such as Hillary Clinton, who hopefully is not fully aware of Sanger’s past.
There is also the dark side of modern liberal heroines such as Madalyn O’Hair — the atheist who fought to get prayer removed from schools (once more in the Supreme Court).
Many don’t know that O’Hair died a mysterious, brutal death — kidnapped and murdered along with her son and grand-daughter by a criminal who worked for her organization.
Another son (echoing McCorvey) became an active Christian.
Praise God for that.
Few discuss it. It would undermine secularism.
Before the June 1944 invasion of Normandy, a crossroad puzzle that was printed in the London Daily Telegraph contained the words “mulberry,” “Neptune,” “Omaha,” “overlord,” and “Utah.”
That may not seem to be of much interest, but it turns out that those were all secret code words used by the Allied military in planning the upcoming offensive.
The puzzle’s author, a schoolteacher, was tracked down and interrogated, but the puzzle’s content was ultimately chalked up to, yes, coincidence.
