The Muslim Onslaught

August 16, 2026 by sd

Let’s face reality: we are to love everyone and respect everyone of all faiths and all nations and all walks of life. Love is the test of life (period).

But let’s also face this: there are certain nations and faiths that want and have sought to vanquish Christianity. This has been particularly true, through the centuries, with the faith second only in size to Christianity: Islam.

Right now, Muslims are clearly on the March. In Spain, tens of thousands of them have swarmed the southern border, to the point where Italy closed its border with Spain to prevent the spread there.

The rest of Europe is seeing more of a slow drip, but an incursion nonetheless. Norway, Sweden, and Denmark have witnessed a surge. England now has millions of Muslim immigrants, and in London—its largest city—a Muslim the mayor.

The same is true of New York City—arguably the most important city in the world. Muslims also seemingly control the streets of places like Dearborn, Michigan, and other parts of the Upper Midwest, and mosques are springing up across America, sometimes even supplanting abandoned Catholic buildings. Congressional candidates increasingly are Muslim.

Today, Islam is the fastest growing religion in America.
It used to be witchcraft, but now Islam has taken the top spot.
There are more than 2,700 mosques in the United States.

This is not to besmirch individuals of the Islamic faith. They can be excellent humans. But we also know there are factions—radical Muslims—who seek extreme measures to quash Christianity and who are on a mission to force their faith on everyone. Their damage was most readily witnessed in 2001 at the World Trade Center. But it is almost everywhere.

In Africa, particularly Nigeria, those of the Muslim faith are constantly slaying priests and other Catholics, including school children. Between 1999 and 2026, approximately 1,140,000 to 1,600,000 people were killed by Islamic extremists or Islamic religious-nationalists, while 10,125,000 to 14,215,000 were displaced. The victims were a wide range of ethnic and religious minorities, including other Muslims whom perpetrator groups considered heretics, infidels, or ethnic inferiors.

Those are overt manifestations. But Muslims are also taking the approach of “invading” by way of simply having more children: out-breeding Christians. There are nearly five million now in the U.S. That’s about 1.5 percent of the populace and growing.

No great numbers as yet, but across the Atlantic, it’s a different story. Europe now has between six and twelve million Muslims, almost certainly a significant undercount. The Arab diaspora is highly concentrated in Western and Central Europe, especially France.

Throughout the centuries, Muslims (sometimes called Moors,” sometimes “Ottomans,” sometimes “Sunni” or “Shiites,” sometimes “Saracens” or “Mohammedans.”

That there is a push to colonize the West should be of little surprise.

As pointed out recently on social media, Muslim Brotherhood leaders openly admit the plan is no longer war.

It is immigration and demographics.

“For centuries, Muslims tried and failed to conquer Europe by the sword,” noted one post. “Modern strategists from the Muslim Brotherhood have said the old method is unnecessary. As one of them allegedly put it: ‘Muslims tried and failed to conquer Europe for 700 years through war. But now there’s a much easier way: we can peacefully infiltrate via immigration, with help from naive Western governments and voters.’

“Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of the Brotherhood’s most influential ideologues, declared that “Islam will conquer Europe without resorting to the sword or fighting. The conquest will be through da’wah and ideology.”

“The Brotherhood’s own 1991 Explanatory Memorandum on North America was even clearer. It described their work in America as a “civilization-jihadist process” aimed at “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.” Higher birth rates, chain migration, parallel institutions, and political entryism are the tools. Western governments and voters who treat mass immigration as a moral absolute have become the delivery system. This is not conspiracy theory. It is written strategy, repeated by their own leaders, and now visible in electoral outcomes across Europe and parts of the United States. Ignore it at your own risk.”

The history of Muslim military expansions into Europe spans over millennia, occurring in distinct geopolitical waves across Western, Mediterranean, Central, and Eastern Europe. These campaigns reshaped the political, cultural, and religious boundaries of the continent from the early eighth century through the late seventeenth century.

The first major wave began in 711 A.D/, when Arab (and Berber) forces led by Tariq ibn Ziyad, crossed the Strait of Gibraltar into Spain.

Within a decade, they had conquered the majority of the Iberian Peninsula, establishing the domain that became known as Al-Andalus.

The famous Catholic apparition site of Fatima was named for a Muslim princess whose own moniker was that of Mohammed’s daughter. Arguably the most famous Catholic apparition gets its name from Arabia.

So too did Muslims once control the region in France where Lourdes is located.

Muslim armies quickly pushed north past the Pyrenees into Frankish territory, capturing Narbonne and raiding deep into Aquitaine. This northern expansion in the west reached its limit at the Battle of Tours in 732 A.D.

Simultaneously and in the centuries following, Muslim powers targeted the central Mediterranean and Southern Europe through naval raids and territorial conquests.

Along with Sicily, Muslim forces also established footholds on the Italian mainland, including a famous raid on Rome in 846 A.D. that breached the outer basilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul outside the city walls.

The most extensive and sustained military push into Southeastern and Central Europe was undertaken by the Ottoman Empire, beginning in the mid-fourteenth century.

Over the next two centuries, Ottoman armies subjugated Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, and the principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia.

Remember the famous Battle of Lepanto, during which the Pope fervently sought the assistance of Mary (through the Rosary)?

That Christian victory halted the Ottoman takeover.

The climax of Ottoman expansion into Central Europe occurred in 1683 during the second siege of Vienna. A coalition army led by King John III Sobieski of Poland and Holy Roman Empire princes broke the siege at the Battle of Vienna.

This defeat marked a strategic turning point; the subsequent Holy League war culminated in the Treaty of Karlowitz in 1699, which forced the Ottomans to cede large territories in Hungary and Transylvania, initiating a long period of territorial contraction in Southeastern Europe that continued until the empire’s collapse in the early twentieth century.

Obviously, however, there is the need for prayer, especially the Rosary, for those of Islamic faith, at least the militants, seem to be trying once more.
