What does God have in store for you?
Likely, more than you imagine.
“God’s plans for your life are bigger and better than anything you could have conceived yourself!” says Maria Vadia in Created To Be a Champion. “The truth is, His plans are so amazing that they will cause you to run to Jesus because there is no way you could fulfill them on your own strength.
“This is why we need our Helper, the Holy Spirit! In order to fulfill God’s plan and purpose for your life, you need the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You can’t fulfill it by your own power, strength, or wisdom.”
In short, despite what you may think of yourself, you were created for greatness — at whatever station of life you find yourself. When we die and see His plan for our lives and the graces and gifts we could have tapped, we will be disappointed if we failed to take advantage of them.
At times, they may involve hardship. They may involve suffering. They surely will include hard work. But in the end they bring the fullness of joy.
“There is provision for your vision!” is the way Vadia puts it.
Here’s a prayer she gives:
“Father, in Jesus’s Name, I thank You for choosing me, for loving me! I believe You have great plans for my life and that I’m alive for such a time as this. I believe You have an amazing destiny for me on this planet and I’m ready to move on! I’m ready for fresh fire and empowerment! Come, Holy Spirit, speak to me. Teach me, guide me, illuminate me. Let revelation flow into my heart as I read these words, and let the transformation complete its work. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.”
Remember that Jesus’s victory is our victory.
Our battle is against spirits that try to stop us.
One problem: we are no longer taught this, points out Maria.
Our Church has become “complacent, confused, defeated, powerless without influence in this world.”
This is the opposite of what it should be.
The Church should be mystical, she points out. It should be detached from the material. It should exercise power in the Holy Spirit.
It’s time to go on the offensive.
Stop complaining and bring the Holy Spirit in and around you. Bring the Holy Spirit into the pews. Bring the Helper with you every step of the way. Ask God to be your partner in all you do.
And watch how that works!
“Many Catholics whom I meet love the sacramentals: Holy Water, blessed salt, holy oil etcetera, and that’s okay (I use them too) but at the same time ignore the Power of the Blood of Jesus!”
Do you ever think of yourself as unlovable, stupid, not good enough, fearful, unworthy, destined to be unhappy, shy and timid, unable to do anything right?
That’s the enemy whispering to you!
“Are you down, depressed, hopeless?” Vadia further asks. “Put on your garment of praise (see Isaiah 61:3) and release the high praises of God! You will see the atmosphere around you changed and the power of the enemy broken over your life!”
Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you. Ask Him to show you the truth about your life. Fulfill that glorious mission God has planned for you.
He never forgets you.
He never stops caring.
He always can heal. It’s up to us to let Him.
