Obviously — with all of what is whirling around us — it seems time to take a new look at prophecy.
And that’s exactly what Future Events, a new one by Catholic author/journalist Michael H. Brown — his first on prophecy in years [see bio below] — does.
It doesn’t take much to know that strange movements and events — violent ones — are occurring everywhere we turn.
It may be the marked uptick in volcanoes.
It may be the fact that hurricanes have taken on new, potent characteristics (intensifying beyond projections).
It may be the eruptions of world-threatening warfare (the greatest land combat in Europe since World War Two, in Ukraine — never mind the explosive violence in Israel).
All this has been accompanied — just as obviously — by the most bizarre trends in recorded history — whereby humans created in the Garden have not only proclaimed themselves beyond the two genders established there, but have basically deemed themselves — in their ability to change genders and create synthetic life in labs — as creators themselves.
The high sin of Lucifer.
IN THIS EXPLOSIVE NEW BOOK ON THE FUTURE, Brown, founder of Spirit Daily, surveys the prophetic landscape and puts recent predictions in the context of current and past events, especially a little-known “enlightenment” received by famous seer Lucia dos Santos of Fátima many years after the historic apparitions—a part of the famous Third Secret that has not been previously dissected and explained.
From the cell of the seer to current times, apparitions, and “messages,” Brown, author of the famous The Final Hour, presents in-depth look at the crescendo of events mankind is quickly approaching and a time of major incidents and calamities that may already have begun—the parting of a “curtain.”
In this mix is Manhattan, the stage for further revelation on what approaches the world without radical conversion to Jesus Christ. Using literary device, Brown predicts some of the warnings, disasters, and “signs,” including a great one that looms in the not-so-distant future as mankind descends into Godlessness and sin.
The Lord promised after the Flood never to destroy earth again with water.
What might take its place? What about regional events that might include great ocean waves or inland seas, that could involve flame from the sky or the threat thereof, that could portend massive military conflict in a world that has seen its landscape and populations transfigured?
Fear? No. The end of the world? Also no. The times we approach are times of tremendous tumult and upheaval, of confusion, of conflict, of shock and awe, if not the “end of the end times.”
Concern and warning? Without question.
But also a time to excite the believer, to give the faithful hope, to prepare in the joy of closeness to Him. We see it the truly bizarre warp-speed events in our culture, in the disasters occurring in various places, in the explosion of interest in the supernatural, especially prophecy, in pandemics, in cultural battles, and in the truly dangerous wars in Ukraine and Israel — conflicts that, it’s no hyperbole to say, could detonate into world conflagration.
Not since the late 1930s — when the Great Sign foreseen at Fatima occurred — and the 1940s — when Sister Lucia agonized over release of further information she had about the famous secret — has the stage been so clearly set. What kind of unprecedented events may now be expected (minus conversion)?
As the famous nun, Mother Angelica, of Birmingham, Alabama, said of one of Brown’s previous prophetic books, “If you didn’t buy his book, you’re missing it. It’s not a scary book; it’s a very good book. If you haven’t bought it I would buy it. I think it’s a great book, just terrific. I think it’s important for my future and your future. I want you to read [it]. Why? It’s logical, it’s truthful, it’s God’s way of saying, ‘Let’s be ready.’”
“And the Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Him asked Him to show them a sign from heaven. But He answered and said to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ ‘And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?
