There it was, in the Virgin Mary of Medjugorje’s own words: a word that summarizes the times and actual weather patterns.
“Wind.”
“Dear children,” she said on April 25, 2025, a message sanctioned for release by the Vatican envoy there.
“Winds of peacelessness, selfishness, and sin are catching hold of many hearts and leading them into peacelessness and perdition. That is why I am calling you, little children: return to God and to prayer, so that it may be good for you in your hearts and on the earth on which you live.”
It was as literally correct as it was metaphorically.
For weeks, since deep into winter, the United States has experienced unusual winds and strong breezes on an almost daily basis.
Cause (at least in the meteorological sense): a jet stream that has dipped unusually far south. Also, the Midwest and Southwest were hit hard with storms in March, including one series that tore through eight states. At least forty tornadoes touched down, with cooler air crashing in behind.
In Washington, D.C., gusts reached fifty miles an hour for seven days alone in February, with March windier across the nation–down to Florida, where every day seemed unusually breezy.
Something clearly is up.
“He makes the winds His messengers,” says Psalm 104:4. “A whirlwind of the Lord has gone forth in fury,” adds Jeremiah 23:19. In Revelation 7:1, angels are told to hold back the four winds to prevent destruction until God’s servants are sealed.
With a Pope now gone and the tension of a new one, how can the heart not beat a bit fast, in either anxiety or anticipation?
That’s not to mention the tensions between Russia and Ukraine, China and the U.S., Pakistan and India (both have nuclear weapons), rebels in Nigeria (attacking Catholics), and the constant traumas of the Mideast.
As for “selfishness,” is anyone not grabbing for a larger house or SUV or truck or summer home?
Greed and ego reign.
“I love you, little children, and that is why I am not tiring of calling you to conversion,” said Medjugorje.
“Thank you,” she always graciously adds, “for responding to my call,” which often comes across as a mother’s hopeful if often wistful wish.

[As for the secular domain, the London Mail reports [caution, tabloid, occult watch]: “A psychic dubbed Japan‘s ‘Baba Vanga’ has issued a terrifying prophecy set to wreak havoc across the world. Now, the prophetess is predicting a mega-tsunami will strike her native Japan in July, after claiming to have seen visions of the ocean ‘boiling’ to the south of the country. Ryo Tatsuki, a manga artist from Japan, has gained a reputation for eerily accurate predictions of some of the world’s most devastating catastrophes – drawing frequent comparisons to the famous fortune teller Baba Vanga. Tatsuki claims to have foreseen an undersea volcanic eruption that will impact multiple countries across Asia – with Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands set to be hit the hardest. She claimed the impact zone covered a diamond shape encompassing the Asian countries. Adding to the bone-chilling prediction, the oracle also mentioned seeing ‘dragon-like shapes’ in her prophesying dreams – which some have linked to visual patterns near Hawaii and other vulnerable coastlines.”]
