Jahenny And Our Times

October 27, 2026 by sd

Marie Julie Jahenny of La Fraudais

The recent rancor across the socieites of this fallen world have been ratcheted up, echoing a number of prophecies.

As viewer Michael Finnegan of Ireland has pointed out, the French mystic Marie-Julie Jahenny between 1850 and 1941, had prophetic visions and messages generally dated from the late 19th century into the early 20th century that ring a bell with what is currently occurring in her homeland.

The parallels are striking.

Jahenny envisaged France undergoing a profound crisis arising from social and religious breakdown, followed by a great revolution, civil disorder, violence and eventually foreign invasion and a great chastisement. She described a future French crisis centered on Paris, with civil war, the destruction of religious institutions, the flight of the government and foreign forces entering France while the country is internally divided.

What makes October 2026 particularly remarkable in this context is the scale and character of the unrest now spreading across France.

Protests that began over deteriorating school conditions and rising living costs escalated into some of the country’s worst unrest in years.

On October 17, rioting, looting, arson and attacks on police occurred in Paris and other cities, with thousands of businesses damaged or looted.

On Saturday, October 24, approximately 410,000 people demonstrated nationwide according to the Interior Ministry, including around 110,000 in Paris.

Violence erupted in Paris, Marseille and other cities, with looting, attacks on security forces and the use of tear gas and water cannons. The government deployed 70,000 police and gendarmes, while central Paris was placed under exceptionally heavy security, with shops boarded up, major cultural institutions closed and more than twenty Metro stations shut.

Before Jahenny and also in France was the La Salette visionary Mélanie Calvat (1831–1904), who published a version of the La Salette secret she was given privately that contained predictions of severe persecution, war, and the destruction of Paris, followed by the restoration of France and the emergence of a period of renewed Christian order.

There would be a series of wars, she said, until the last war, which would then be fought by the “ten kings of the Antichrist,” all of whom will have one and the same plan and will be the only rulers of the world.

Pagan Rome, she quoted Mary as saying (for your discernment), will “disappear.” The “fire of heaven” will fall and consume three cities. We’ll be getting into all this and more at the upcoming online retreat November 7.

Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (1769–1837) is one of the earlier figures. Prophecies attributed to her describe France falling into a period of extraordinary disorder and civil war, with society becoming so divided that people from all classes would become involved in the violence.

Another 19th-century French prophetic tradition associated with the Ecstatic of Tours similarly spoke of a future revolution spreading through France, terrible bloodshed, and Paris becoming a scene of extraordinary violence and destruction, before France eventually turns back towards God.

The recent outpouring of faithful during Pope Leo XIV’s visit demonstrated that at the same time as all the unrest, there is a large core of Christianity, especially among the young.

Aspects of the prophecies could of course relate to happenings during the 1800s and 1900s, including world wars.

Marie Lataste (1822–1847), another French visionary, is associated with a prophecy concerning Paris being afflicted and surrounded by enemies for an extended period, followed eventually by Divine intervention and the restoration of order. These predictions belong to the period before or around the great revolutionary upheavals of the nineteenth century, rather than simply being retrospective interpretations of events that had already happened.

What makes these traditions particularly interesting alongside Marie-Julie Jahenny (1850–1941) is the recurring pattern.

And for about this—as well as the unrest elsewhere (with elections looming)—let us pray.
