From News4 San Antonio:
SAN ANTONIO — Catholic Evangelist Alan Ames says he was called by God to spread his love with other people. For almost 20 years he’s traveled to six continents and 50 countries to spend time praying with people. Ames who is from Australia says before he started his work in the church he didn’t believe in God, he was an alcoholic, and was just living a bad life, but God turned his life around. He says he’s not the healer, but Jesus is.I always tell people it’s not me who heals them if they’re healed, its Jesus and the sacraments, said Ames.Ames says everything he does is in the Catholic Church. I never speak anywhere or pray for healing anywhere that a Bishop won’t give me permission, he added. Ames prays over people he’s never met, and he doesn’t know their stories. It’s between them and God, I don’t need to know anything that’s happening in people’s live I just pray for them Ames went on to say. Ames told News 4 San Antonio one healing that sticks out in his mind is a paralyzed teenager from Switzerland who was able to walk again. He’d been healed completely, just shortly after I prayed with him , said Ames. Despite people’s remarkable testimonials, Ames knows there are skeptics. It’s good to be skeptical , because we shouldn’t believe everything. added Ames
