From The New York Post:
The metal rooster that once sat atop Notre Dame’s iconic spire was discovered by a worker combing through the rubble of the Gothic cathedral in Paris on Tuesday. “Incredible! One of the members of the @GMHistoriques found the rooster of the top of the spire of #NotreDame in the rubble,” tweeted Jacques Chanut, president of the French Federation of Building, along with a photo of the worker cradling the bird sculpture. Inside were a relic of St. Denis, one of St. Genevieve and what was believed to have been one of the 70 thorns from Jesus Christ’s crown added in 1935 by the archbishop of Paris.
